One of the interesting features of the desert were the wells used for agriculture. These oxen drawn contraptions dot the land and buckets reach down into deep wells to bring water to the surface. Another was the dunes of Samm, just west of Jaisalmer. We spent a night out here in tents, enjoyed an evening of dancing, and began the morning with a sunrise camel ride. Elyna wasted no time in donning her 'rajasthani outfit' and jumping into the dances. Lori found camel riding to her liking and would have gladly stayed for a long safari if time had permitted.
